How might the relationship between the handloom and the power loom be a metaphor for the changes brought about by the Industrial Revolution?
I don't get this at all :( help!
Thanks :)

Both the handloom and the power loom weave yarn and thread into fabrics. But because the handloom depended entirely on human labor, it was much slower than the power loom. The Industrial Revolution completely changed the ways in which most goods were made. Before the Revolution most goods were made by hand in private homes. The Revolution brought about powered machinery housed in factories. Goods could be made much faster and more goods were produced. However, people had to move from working in their homes to working in factories.
