R = (7.6/2)(10^3 miles) (5280 ft/mile)
R = 20*10^6 ft
w =angular velocity= 2 pi radians in 24 hours
w = (2 pi rad/24hr)(1 hr/3600sec)
= 7.27 *10^-5 rad/s
v = w R = 7.27*10^-5 * 2*10^7
= 1450 ft/s
