multiply 6 and 2, so it would be 12y=7y-5

12y-7y-5=0
5y-5=0
y=1
12y-7y-5=0
5y-5=0
y=1

It would be -1.
12y=7y-5
then you subtract 7y and you get:
5y=-5
then you divide 5 for both sides so you get:
y=-1
12y=7y-5
