How could anyone disagree that it would be a bad thing to study de-extinction? If we could preserve both plants and animals that are in danger today, we would never lose another species.

It would be hard to find anyone who would argue against the notion that studying de-extinction would be a negative undertaking. If we were able to safeguard endangered plants and animals through this practice, we could effectively prevent the loss of any more species.
