(1 * 4) + 1 = 5
(5 * 4) + 1 = 21
(21 * 4) + 1 = 85
(85 * 4) + 1 = 341
(341 * 4) + 1 = 1,365

Miriam, hate to be a stick in the mud, but can you please check the last number in your sequence?

I agree with Ms. Sue's pattern, but then the next term should have been
1365*4 + 1 = 5461 , not 6741
