-1 1/3 f = -5/9

change -1 1/3 to an improper fraction, which will be -4/3.

So -4/3 f = - 5/9

Multiply both sides of the equation by -3/4. Doing this makes the coefficient of f become 1.
Thus (-4/3)(-3/4) f = (-5/9)(-3/4)
1f = - 5/12
