ok
Does this...
(AX + B)(C - D)
when you multiply
the first numbers... AX and C
mean the same thing as
(AX)C -D(AX) +BC -BD
or this
AXC - DAX + BC - BD
which one is it???

            hello

    it may not make a difference but I'm doing a physics problem were it does...
(180 s)(a t3)
were s is seconds and 3 is just a subscript...
does that equal
(180 s)a + (180 s)t3
or this
180 s * a * t3
which one is correct?

These two are the same thing.
What you have written for the others one is not.
(180 s)a + (180 s)t3
or this
180 s * a * t3
These two expressions are NOT the same.
(180s)a + (180s)t3 =
180s*a + 180st3.

    it depends on whether (a t3) is (a*t3) or if it is (a+t3.)if (180s) is one term as well then. your expansions are either
for (a*t3)(1) 180s*a*t3 or
for (a+t3)(2) (180s*a)+(180s*t3)

for (a*t3)(1) 180s*a*t3 or
for (a+t3)(2) (180s*a)+(180s*t3)

    180 s(a t3)
This means 180*s(a*t3) which is the same as
180*s*a*t3

This means 180*s(a*t3) which is the same as
