hi im lauren and i have a big math test tomorrow(7th grade) and i need 2 know wht interval means. And i need the expalnation 2 be so simple that a little kid can understand it. lol. Can someone answer like in the next 10 mins plz! thx!! hurry peeps!!lol

Don't know if it is still useful, as it is past 10 minutes.
An interval is a mathematical notation to indicate a continuous range of numbers. The lower limits and upper limits are separated by a comma. If the lower limit is included in the interval, we put an opening bracket [ before the limit, if it is excluded, we put an opening parenthesis (. Same goes for the upper limit, but the bracket/parenthesis is placed after the upper limit.
For example,
[4,8)
will range from 4 to 8, but 8 is excluded.
It is also important to specify the number space if the interval does not contain real numbers (i.e. with decimals, etc.)
