Kamla draws the parallelogram on the left and then uses a scale factor to create the parallelogram on the right. All measurements are in inches. What scale factor does he use?
the parallelogram on the left is 3.5 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
the parallelogram on the right is 1 inch wide and 0.7 inches tall.

There seems to be a typo in the problem statement.
If the drawings are similar the ratio of heights is the same as the ratio of widths.

no 3.5 / 1 is not 5 / 0.7
these are not similar figures. Scale ratio is undefined.
