Oh, my! This looks like a semester review of an entire class.

What time period have you studied? What region(s) have you studied?

Hi Ms. Sue well it’s for US history on the growth of democracy. I am just having trouble finding a place to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just need a paragraph or 200 characters

I haven't read your chapter -- but off the top of my head --
* Capitalism financed greatly increased transportation, such as railroads, canals, and roads.
* Agriculture fed the greatly expanding population.
* Capitalism financed industrialization which in turn provided more wealth for the country.
* The nation split as the North became more industrialized and the South remained agricultural, relying upon slaves to do much of the labor.

What else have you learned about? What about social reforms?
Answered by Karl2472
I have learned that social reforms help shaped the bill of rights.
Answered by Ms. Sue
That's true.

But where does Social reform fit in with capitalism, agriculture, and industrialization, because when the nations split it was primary over slave use correct?
Answered by Ms. Sue
Slaves were held as property and a part of the South's capitalistic society. They were cheaper than hiring free workers. Although slavery was just one cause of the Civil War, social reformers agitated for the abolition of slavery. Thus, they were opposing a mainstay of capitalism in the South.
