Question

state the domain and range of y= 1/(x-2)

Answers

Reiny
there is a vertical asymptote at x = 2

so the domain is any real number except x=2

the range is any real number except y = 0

(notice the equation has no solution when y=0
0 = 1/(x-2), cross-multiply,
0 = 1, not possible! )
