chicken delight sells whole-chicken dinners for $12 and half-chicken dinners for $8. yesterday they sold a total of 400 dinners and took in $4200. how many of each size dinners were sold?

x + y = 400 (the number sold)
12x + 6y = 4200 (gross receipts)
12x + 12y = 4800
