Chemical changes are like when you bake a cake and you can't get the eggs and flour back like they were, because they turn into something totally new. Physical changes are like when you cut a piece of paper; it's still paper, just in smaller pieces. So, chemical changes make new stuff and you can't go back, but in physical changes, things are the same, just looking different or in a different shape or state.
