I asked this question before and I was told my work was correct by my friend insists she is correct
HELP
I did
translate and simplify"six less than twice the sum of a number and three"
choices are
A)-2x
b)2x
c)-2x+9
d)2x-3

I set it up
2(x+3)-6
2x+6-6
answer=2x
My friend did
2x+3-6
getting 2x-3
Please help on which set up is correct.
We both really appreciate it. Thanks

You are right because you have to have the number plus three together before you can figure out what twice the sum of the 2 numbers is.
