The first is correct.

But the second is wrong. New Delhi/Calcutta are nouns used as objects of a preposition.

Technically, this sentence does not have a compound verb. Check these sites about compound verbs.

There is no compound verb in the second sentence. No choice you make will be correct!

You could rewrite the sentence:
<i>She >u>toured</u> India and <u>visited</u> the cities of New Delhi and Calcutta.</i>

The compound verb is "toured" and "visited."
