What were Calvin's rules of conduct?
Answered by elina
my book doesn't tell about his rules
Answered by elina
um it only says that his government was really strict. and that he had ''blue laws'' which outlawed all sorts of amusements from dancing to card playing
Answered by Ms. Sue
Please look back and read the site I recommended about Calvin and Geneva. It has a list of the rules.
Answered by elina
are these his rules:
No eating rich foods
No wearing bright colors or jewelry
Church on Sunday
No playing cards
Everyone should be home by 9 pm each evening

Answered by Ms. Sue
Yes.

Why would some people agree -- and some disagree -- with these rules?
Answered by elina
is this right.. some people would disagree with this rules because they want to have a right, and enjoy eating rich foods and they want to live thir life thier ways. but i don't know why people would agree with his rules
Answered by elina
oh wait they would agree with his rules because that makes it fair for everyone?
Answered by Ms. Sue
Some agreed with Calvin because the believed that following them was the way to salvation and heaven. For many people of that time, religion was the most important thing in their lives.
