y=5x-7 and -3x-2y=-12
I have to find the linear system using substitution
I have gotten it to -3x-2(5x-7)=-12
Now I am stuck at solving for x
PLEASE HELP any way you can
Thanks
Oh, and please show me how you did it as well

keep going like you started:
-3x - 2(5x-7) = -12
expand to
-3x - 10x + 14 = -12
combine x terms
-13x +14 = -12
subtract 14 from both sides
-13x = -26
solve the above for x
-3x - 2(5x-7) = -12
expand to
-3x - 10x + 14 = -12
combine x terms
-13x +14 = -12
subtract 14 from both sides
-13x = -26
solve the above for x
