Can you help me find the solutions of the equation x^2 + 30x=1000...help me solve it step by step..

I wont do it step by step.

Using the quadratic formula...

x^2 + 30 x - 1000=0
a=1
b=30
c=-1000

x=(-b +- sqrt (b^2 -4ac))/2a

now the serd works easily
sqrt(900+4000)=70

x=(-30 +- 70)/2

you can take it from there.
