Can you help me to find the product of -4x^2 and x^3 + 2x^2 - 5x + 3...

and the solution to the equation of x^2 + 30x = 1000...I came up with -20 and 50 but I think it is wrong

also can you help me to do the factorization of 6x^2 - 2x -20....Thank You please help with solutions

1. -4x^2 and x^3 + 2x^2 - 5x + 3...
you can multiply term by term to get the results.

2. x^2 + 30x = 1000
see answer for Fishboy who posted the same question after you.

3. 6x^2 - 2x -20
Look for the obvious common factor 2 in each of the terms. This reduces to
2(x^2-x-20)
Now you need to factor (x^2-x-20) in the form of
(x-a)(x+b)
Multiply out by the rule of FOIL , you get
(x-a)(x+b)
=x^2 - (a-b)x - ab
meaning that you will need to find a, b such that
a-b=1, ab=20
Since there are 4 factors to 20, two of which are non-trivial, I am sure you have no problem finding the answer.
Check your answer by multiplying out the terms.
