I'm supposed to figure out how much feul is wasted by a that car runs at 25% efficiency that each year uses 119,700 gallons of gas. Would it be 10,500 gallons.

I'm from Tabetha's class, and wanted to look at her Jiskha message, but that didn't help. I tried searching for this, but it's too specific to find in a google search. Its something that requires a real, live human. Thanks for your understanding.

The way I see it is that if 25% is wasted, then 119,700 gallons represents 0.75 of the value.
Or 119,700/0.75 = Gallons used at 100% efficiency. The difference is the amount of fuel wasted.
