My America is loud and proud like me
When I close my eyes, in the map I see
Crooked corners and lines as thick as walls
But also rivers that pass through and waterfalls

It holds my hands and lets me do
The muddy work of lifting my country
My America is beautiful like me
My America is young but also deep
