a team of 4 golfers scored 69,73,70, and 74 on the first round on a par 72 course. they reduced their team score by 3 on the second round.

a) Add the four scores to find the total score. Then divide by 4 to find the average score. Compare it with 72.
b) Subtract 3 from the team's total score to find the total on the second round. Divide by 4 and compare with 72.
