I do not understand how to Give the five-number summary of each set of numbers. Can someone please help me?
7, 7, 5, 4, 1, 9, 8, 8, 8, 5, 2
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-number_summary
start by putting the numbers in order.
1,2,4,5,5,7,7,8,8,8,9
The minimum and maximum are obvious.
The median is the sixth number (11 items, five above, and five below).
The lower quartile is 4, the upper quartile is 8
