Artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to create a supportive learning environment in Papua New Guinea (PNG) by providing personalized and adaptive learning experiences. One way AI can enhance learning is through its ability to analyze large sets of data and provide insights and recommendations. For instance, AI-powered learning platforms can collect and analyze data on students' performance, preferences, and learning styles, and then tailor the learning content and pace to meet their individual needs (Hwang & Wu, 2019). This personalized approach ensures that students receive the right level of challenge and support, ultimately enhancing their learning outcomes.
Furthermore, AI can also support learning in PNG by providing timely feedback and assistance to students. AI-powered chatbots, for example, can provide immediate answers to students' questions and offer step-by-step guidance on problem-solving exercises (Hwang & Wu, 2019). This real-time feedback not only encourages students to actively engage in their learning but also helps them identify and rectify their mistakes more efficiently. Moreover, AI can also analyze students' progress over time and identify areas where they may need further practice or reinforcement, enabling teachers to design targeted interventions and support for individual students (Lee & Kim, 2021).
