A cut-it-out poem is a poem that assembled from letters taken from magazines, newspapers, and other printed material. Cut out the titles of a dozen or so magazines or newspapers. Then continue to cut the titles so that you have a pile of individual letters. Mix the letters up and then assemble the letters to form words related to your theme or subtopic. Create a poem using the words you’ve created from the cutouts. Paste the poem into with a purpose. Since letters are bound to fall off, it would be a good idea to make and use a photocopy of the poem.
