x-intercept means when the line intersect with the x-axis, at that point the value of y is 0.
y-intercept is the other way around, so the value of x = 0
so for you question:
1) x-intercept when y=0, so you just need to substitute y = 0 to the equations and solve for x.
2) y-intercept when x = 0, so substitute x = 0 to the equations and solve for y.
a) x-intercept: y = 0
2x - 5y +10 = 0
2x - 5*0 + 10 = 0
2x + 10 = 0
x = - 5
y - intercept: x = 0
2x - 5y + 10 = 0
2*0 - 5y + 10 = 0
-5y + 10 = 0
-5y = -10
y = 2
for b is similar to question a.
good luck
