    Loneliness consumes my every day,
As I wander through this world alone,
Searching for someone to come my way,
To share moments I call my own.
I smile and wave at passersby,
But they all seem to turn away,
I long for someone to catch my eye,
But no one seems to want to stay.
The world is big and I am small,
Lost in a sea of faces unknown,
I try to reach out to all,
But I end up feeling alone.
I wonder why I'm not like them,
Why can't I fit in with the crowd?
I'm looking for a faithful friend,
But none have yet been found.
I carry on in my pursuit,
Hoping to find a kindred soul,
Someone who will help resolute,
The sadness that has taken its toll.
Till then, I'll keep trying to find,
A friendship that will never decay,
And keep an open heart and mind,
As I struggle along the way.
