Energy of Motion Unit Test - ill put the first question but then im just putting the answers - Question 1: A city gets its electricity from a dam, where water is stored in a reservoir. How does the water provide the city with its power?(1 point)
ANSWER - Potential energy in the water becomes kinetic energy as it moves through turbines, which turn kinetic energy into mechanical energy that spins a generator, which changes mechanical energy into electricity.
Question 2 ANSWER - The acorn’s potential energy decreases as its kinetic energy increases.
Question 3 ANSWER - On the return flight, the plane has less kinetic energy.
Question 4 ANSWER - 90,480.6 J
Question 5 ANSWER - balloon rising in the sky
Question 6 ANSWER - When it was empty, the cart had less kinetic energy.
Question 7 ANSWER - when the rocket reaches its highest point
Question 8 ANSWER - Most of the kinetic energy in the first ball is transferred to the second ball.
Question 9 ANSWER - 661,068.8 J
Question 10 ANSWER - 592,416 J
Question 11 ANSWER - when the swing is pulled back prior to release
!!!!! I am not sure if these next answers are right, after i get a webmail back with the grade ill let yk wht it got graded, but for right now these are my answers that could be terrible !!!!!
Question 12: In 1–2 sentences, describe how a student could use collaborative learning to investigate potential energy.(2 points)
ANSWER - A student could use collaborative learning to investigate potential energy by doing experiments and simulations. They could also analyze their data of their results.
Question 13: In 1–2 sentences, explain how you could find the kinetic energy of a baseball when it hits a window.(2 points)
ANSWER - You could find the kinetic energy of a baseball when it hits a window by first finding out the mass of the baseball, then find its velocity. After you have both of these use the equation to find kinetic energy (KE = 1/2 mv^2) to find the baseball kinetic energy when it hits a window.
questions 1-11 are 100 percent correct, give this a thumbs up if it helped you for your quiz!

question 12 got 1/2 in washington connexus, teacher feedback was left saying "For additional credit, you need to explain how team work can be used to investigate the experiments and simulations since collaborative learning is working as a team. "
good luck!
