really? Just plug and chug.
ƒ(2) = 2 • |–1|2 = 4

Of course, you may have meant
ƒ(x) = x • |–1|^x
in which case
ƒ(2) = 2 • |–1|^2 = 2

heck, for all I know, you may have meant ƒ(x) = x • (–1)x since you are otherwise so careless.
