If you mean what you typed then
6x−2/4=x−2
5 x = -2 + 1/2
5 x = - 1.5
x = -0.3
But if you mean
(6x - 2) / 4 = x - 2
6 x - 2 = 4 x - 8
2 x = -6
x = -3
