When you signed up for coding, what were you hoping to get to do or get out of it?

I was hoping to gain a better understanding of how computers work and how to use programming languages to create useful applications. I also wanted to learn how to think logically and solve problems in a creative way. Additionally, I wanted to gain the skills necessary to develop my own projects and to be able to contribute to the development of software and applications.
