Why would multi Romanorum have both multi and Romanorum in the genetive case? Thank you for clarifying this.

Same reason as in your first question.
<i>multi Romanorum</i> = many of the Romans
I'd need the whole sentence, but it looks as if <i>multi</i> is nominative plural, not genitive; <i>Romanorum</i> is definitely in the genitive plural.
