what is clauses?

1 answer

What are clauses?

A clause is a group of words that includes a subject and verb.

If that group of words can make sense on its own, we call it an independent clause, and it can also serve as a sentence.

If that group of words does not make sense on its own, we call it a dependent clause and connect it to an independent clause.
