Consider the conversion of oxygen (O2) to ozone (O3).

3 O2(g) → 2 O3(g)

(a) What is the theoretical yield of O3 in grams from 495 g of O2

3O2(g) → 2O3(g)
MOLES O2 ==> grams/molar mass = 495/32 = 15.5
Convert to moles produced by using the coefficients in the balanced equation this way.
15.5 mols O2 x (2 mols O3/3 mols O2) = 15.5 x 2/3 = 10.3 moles O3.
Then grams = mols O3 x molar mass O3 = ?

mole calculations are nice, but since all you have is oxygen, the 495 grams remain undisturbed after conversion.
