The length of a rectangle is 9.7 cm more than 4 times the width means:
L = 4 W + 9.7
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 91.4
2 ( W + 4 W + 9.7 ) = 91.4
2 ( 5 W + 9.7 ) = 91.4
10 W + 19.4 = 91.4
10 W = 91.4 - 19.4 = 72
W = 72 / 10 = 7.2 cm
L = 4 W + 9.7 = 4 • 7.2 + 9.7 =
28.8 + 9.7 = 38.5 cm
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 2 ( 7.2 + 38.5 ) =
P = 2 • 45.7 = 91.4 cm
L = 4 W + 9.7
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 91.4
2 ( W + 4 W + 9.7 ) = 91.4
2 ( 5 W + 9.7 ) = 91.4
10 W + 19.4 = 91.4
10 W = 91.4 - 19.4 = 72
W = 72 / 10 = 7.2 cm
L = 4 W + 9.7 = 4 • 7.2 + 9.7 =
28.8 + 9.7 = 38.5 cm
P = 2 ( W + L ) = 2 ( 7.2 + 38.5 ) =
P = 2 • 45.7 = 91.4 cm
