John is traveling to a meeting that is 28 miles away. He needs to be there in 30 minutes. How fast does he need to go to make it on time?

I can use common sense to figure this out but how would you put it together to get the answer?

speed = distance divided by time. The time should be 0.5 hours (not 30 min) to get the speeed in mph.

There is nothing wrong with using common sense. You have to end up dividing 28 by 0.5 to get the answer.
