How many moles do you need? That's M x L = 0.2 M x 0.500 L = 0.1 mole
How many grams is 0.1 mol NaCl? 1 mol = 58.5 g so 0.1 mol = 5.85 g
Place 5.85 g NaCl in a 500 mL volumetric flask, add some distilled water, swirl until all of the NaCl is dissolved, add more distilled water to the mark on the flask, stopper, mix thoroughly, label. done.
