Let, total no. of students be x
3/7 are girls, ∴ No. of girls = 3x/7
∴ No. of boys = 1 - 3x/7 = 4x/7
1/4th boys wear spectacles
∴ No. of boys wearing spectacles = 1/4 * 4x/7 = x/7
5/6th of the girls wear spectacles
∴ No. of girls wearing spectacles = 5/6 * 3x/7 = 5x/14
∴ Total students wearing spectacles = x/7 + 5x/14 = x/2
∴ Fraction wearing spectacles = x/2/x = 1/2
