What is the area of the trapezoid. The figure is not drawn to scale.
The first base is 8 cm.
The height is 6 cm.
There is two dotted lines cutting the trapezoid into a square and two triangles.
The base of one of the triangles is 4 cm.
Please help....

surely you recall that the areas are
square: A = s^2
triangle: A = 1/2 bh
so plug in the numbers you see
