You are given a 2 M NaCl stock solution. In your own words, write a brief description (1-2 paragraphs) of the procedure required to make 8 mL each of the following NaCl concentrations: 0.5 M, 1.0 M, and 1.5 M. Write the description as if you were teaching to your classmate how to make these solutions in the lab, showing the necessary calculations and including the units and correct measuring devices that they would need to make them properly from start to finish.

I'll do the 1.0 M and you can follow that to do the others.
Using a 4.0 mL pipet, withdraw 4.0 mL of the solution from the bottle marked 2 M stock solution and place that in an 8 mL volumetric flask. Add distilled or deionized water to the volumetric flask until the meniscus reaches the mark in the neck of the volumetric flask. Stopper, mix thoroughly, label. done.
