since 30° is one of those special angles, the area is easy to calculate. Using the usual labeling, with angles A,B,C and sides a,b,c we have
area = 1/2 bc sinA = 1/2 * 12 * 8 * 1/2 = 24
use the law of cosines to find BC
then use the law of sines to find angle B
