@oobleack can you give a link then, because I can not for East Asia. I did find one for Southwest Asia but not East Asia.

East Asia is politically divided into eight countries and regions: China, Mongolia, North Korea, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau.
You can look up European influence particularly in China (beginning with Marco Polo), Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau ......
I tend to think of many others such as Vietnam, Thailand , Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines....... as East Asian influenced by Europeans of many different nationalities (Dutch, English, French, Spanish ....)
