Each student donated either 8 or 9 toys during Donate a Toy campaign. If the ratio of the number of students to the number of toys collected was 7:60, what fraction of the students donated 8 toys?

If x students donated 8 toys and y donated 9 toys, then
(x+y)/(8x+9y) = 7/60
one solution is x=3, y=4
check: 7 students, 3*8+4*9 = 60 toys

so, 3/7 of the students donated 8 toys
