The profit of a restaurant depends on how much they charge for each meal. Their profit is
modeled by the function p(m) — 7x + 500x — 1000 in which m represents the price of a
meal. What meal price will result in maximum profit?

so what are all the x values for?
and are those long dashes supposed to be minus signs?
and why do you have 7x and 500x? Is this supposed to be a quadratic?
If so, then find the vertex in the usual way.
-7x^2+500x-1000
In any case, profit = revenue - cost
revenue = price * quantity
Now use those to figure maximum profit.
The whole thing is rather garbled.
