The floor of a rectangular hall is length 9m and width 4cm . how many tiles of 20cm by 30 can be used to cover the floor of

9m = 900 cm = 30 tiles long
4m = 400cm = 20 tiles wide (assuming that 4cm is a typo)
so the floor is 30x20 = 600 tiles

Laying the tiles in the other direction will waste some of the tiles.
