D is verbal irony.
irony is sayin something that is not true in a sarcastic way like when the chef said one of my biggest hits its ironic because the bowls remain untouched so clearly no one likes it. i hope this was helpful <3

Just go through the questions and pick the one that is the opposite of what the answer is. Basically Sarcasm.
Ex:
1.”Meet my great-grandmother,” she said.
2.”If you can pick me up Tuesday, that would be great,” he said.
3.”Oh, great, we missed the bus,” she said.
4.”It’s great that you won the contest,” he said.
It's #3.
