In a laboratory concentrated hydrogen chloride acid reacted with aluminum. Hydrogen has evolved was collected over water at 25 degree Celsius and had a volume of 355cm³ at a total pressure of 759mmHg. The vapour pressure of water at 25 degree Celsius =24mmHg. Calculate the partial pressure.

You want the partial pressure of H2?
Ptotal = pH2 + pH2O
759 = pH2 + 24.0. Solve for pH2.
