1. what is the chemical formula for Aspirin C9H8O4(s) reacting with water to form salicylic acid C7H6O3(s) and acetic acid C2H4O2(aq)?

The chemical equation is as follows:
C9H8O4 + HOH ==> C7H6O3 + CH3COOH
I can't draw the structures on this site but you can Google the subject and see the structural formulas as well as videos of the mechanism. I encourage you to do that.
