Compound and mixture not compound are mixture

A compound results from chemical reaction between the atoms. For example water is a compound of Hydrogen and Oxygen.
A mixture is just that, for example when you mix pebbles and sand you have a mixture for your pathway, but they do not react and form a compound with each other and can be separated mechanically with a screen.
