No I would not. By obvious I was trying to tell you that you should know that was the answer and to use that knowledge to write what was happening in two or three sentences. If humans can't eat they die. If plants can't eat they die.

If a plants roots are damaged the plant will not surivive for long. The plant must have roots to eat and drink in order to survive.
